COBRAM VICTORY FC

Cobram Victory FC are the 2012 RPL Champions. They were founded back in 1998 and since then have become one of the power house teams of the Goulbourn North Eastern Football Association.

Cobram Victory FC were founded back in 1998 and since then have become one of the power house teams of the North Eastern Soccer League. Originally known as Murray Border Cobram United Soccer Club, MBCU started as a junior club back in 1998 in the Albury Wodonga Soccer Association. By 2001 the club had there first senior team and managed to play finals in the first season. After many consistant seasons in the Albury League MBCU changed to the North Eastern Soccer League in 2007 and with that changed there name to Cobram Victory FC. In season 2008 the club reached it highest moment to date playing off in the senior grand final losing to Shepparton 1-0, followed up by the reserves grand final in 2009. 2011 was a massive season, led by player coach Craig Carley, Victory made the Super 12's stage of the Mirabella Cup defeating Melbourne powerhouses Whittlesea Zebra's and Clifton Hill on the way before eventually going down to former National League champions Melbourne Knights 2-1 at Knights Stadium. The reserves also went the season undefeated to take out the premiership with a 2-0 win over Cobram Tigers in the grand final. 2012 seen some big changes around the league with the senior competition now known as the RPL (Regional Premier League) with the inclusions of 4 Griffith based sides making it a 10 team competition. Victory had a slow start to the season and was hampered by injuries and suspension for most of the year before getting it all together when it counts scoring 21 goals in 4 finals matches to take out there first ever senior Premiership defeating Shepparton SC 5-0 in the grand final. Also Victory continued there love affair with the state knock out making the last 6 in the state, having defeated VPL sides Moreland Zebra's and Bentleigh Greens on the way before going down to eventual winners Dandenong Thunder. 2012 seen Victory play a massive part in the finals series having made 7 out of 9 cometitions with 6 teams playing off in the preliminary final. 2013 looks to be yet another bumper season, with Craig Carley agreeing to his third term as Senior coach and many key players also re-signed. Look out for Victory in 2013!!!!!
